Hey, I’m Kara Thomas - a freelance photographer based in the city of Swansea, South Wales.

My journey with photography started when I was just a kid, running around with a camera trying to capture wildlife and landscapes. That early love for nature and storytelling through images quickly turned into something more, and I’ve never looked back.

Over the years, my lens has taken me in all kinds of directions. As I got older I found a new passion in sports photography, particularly football and rugby, and there’s nothing quite like the energy and emotion of capturing those moments mid-game.

I studied Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at university, which gave me a solid foundation in visual storytelling. Since then, I’ve worked with photography agencies on a variety of projects, everything from news coverage and PR to big events and sports matches.

Whether I'm pitch-side capturing that game-changing goal or documenting an event as it unfolds, photography is what I love. It’s about telling real stories through real moments and that’s what I aim to do every time I pick up my camera.
